Mission Overview
The project focused on performing free surgical procedures for urinary tract conditions in children. Club member and visiting Egyptian-German doctor, Dr. Aref El-Sweifi, performed free surgeries to correct congenital defects and urinary tract malformations in the Qena region of Upper Egypt.

Project Implementation
Free Pediatric Surgeries
Club member Dr. Aref El-Sweifi performed free surgical operations for children suffering from urinary tract conditions and severe congenital deformities.
Specialized Medical Intervention
As a visiting Egyptian-German doctor, Dr. Aref performed procedures to correct congenital defects and urinary tract malformations in the Qena region.
Coordination with Local Partners
The project was supported through coordination with the Ministry of Health in Qena Governorate and the Society of Gabr Elhkawater in Abu Tesht, Egypt.
Training for Urology Specialists
Dr. Aref conducted training for urology specialists on how to perform such complex surgical procedures and manage similar cases.
Remote Medical Consultations
Dr. Aref also committed to providing remote medical consultations for similar cases, supporting continuity of specialized medical guidance after the project.
Medical & Community Impact
The project treated children with severe surgical deformities while building local medical capacity through specialist training and remote consultation support.

Building Local Surgical Capacity
The project combined direct treatment with medical knowledge transfer. By training urologists to perform such difficult procedures and committing to provide remote consultations, Dr. Aref helped strengthen local capacity for future cases and contributed to sustainable improvement in specialized pediatric surgical care.
