Improving nursing efficiency in Egypt through international cooperation, practical training, and sustainable knowledge transfer.
The project aimed to improve the efficiency of nursing in Egypt through cooperation with international nurses. It focused on enhancing the qualifications and practical skills of nurses working at Anba Takla Hospital, especially in intensive care skills, hygiene standards, patient care procedures in the inpatient department, and reducing waste in the use of resources.

An assessment was conducted using a questionnaire and through direct coordination with the hospital itself. Meetings were held with the hospital director and the head of nursing to identify the training needs and required skills.
Communication was established with the German SES organization, and an agreement was reached to send German nurses to train the hospital’s nursing staff on the required skills.
A German nurse was hosted at the hospital for a period of three weeks to provide practical training, hands-on support, and direct guidance to the nursing team.
The trained nurses will, in turn, train more nurses within the hospital, creating a multiplier effect and supporting continuous improvement inside the healthcare team.
The project created immediate nursing capacity while building a sustainable internal training model for the hospital.
Direct benefit: 15 nurses were trained in the required practical nursing skills.
The German SES nurse provided practical training and support inside the hospital.
Indirect benefit: trained nurses will train more nursing staff within the hospital.
The trained nurses will continue to support and train more nursing staff. Their improved qualifications and skills will contribute to enhancing the quality of medical services provided at the hospital. The continued presence of trained staff within the hospital will ensure the sustainability of healthcare services provided to patients.
